The Australian Gymnastics Championships, also know as AGC or Nationals, is one of the biggest Gymnastics events in Australia each year. The best of the best athletes compete from the start of the year, looking to hit the qualification scores necessary for their state team, and to have their chance at a National title.

Following two trial events in May, we had 29 athletes ranging in age from 9- 23 book their spots in their respective tumbling and double mini trampoline events.

The trampoline gymnastics portion of AGC was held on the Gold Coast from Saturday the 12th– Wednesday the 16th of July. The first 3 days consisted of our international levels. These athletes were competing for scores to be selected onto the Australian Team to compete at the World Championships and World Age Group Championships at the end of this year in Spain.

International levels start from Youth U13 & U15, then there’s Junior U17 & U22 and then the Senior division. Many of our state team reps in these categories are part of the National squads and have competed internationally before, some even with major titles to the names, however we did have athletes competing in these divisions for the very first time. Everyone competed fantastically for themselves, their club and their state, and in the end NSW was crowned the champion state following some very exciting team events.

Once the international levels were done, it was time for our National levels 5/6 & 7 to compete. For many of these young athletes it was not only their first time at Nationals, but it was the biggest competition of their lives so far! Our state team reps took it all in their stride and competed with poise and power. The amazing performances and titles continued to flow in for our state team reps, with many hitting new routines and achieving PB scores.

AGC25 was the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. It shows the strength and depth within our gym and for this we are so proud. We congratulate all our athletes along with the club coaches who not only put in the work to get to Nationals, but achieved such incredible results. Our overall medal tally was:
